Home/Garage Cleanouts

Garage Cleanouts

A garage cleanout works best when keepers are separated first and the removal pile has a safe, visible path to the driveway.

What may fit this request

  • Boxes and general household clutter
  • Old furniture and approved equipment
  • Bagged nonhazardous material
  • Multi-zone clearouts after an item review

Confirm the actual load

Acceptance depends on the items, condition, access, and available service scope. Keep hazardous or unknown material separate.

Prepare the route, not only the pile.

  1. Create clear keep, donate, recycle, and remove zones
  2. Pull out documents, photos, keys, and valuables
  3. Keep chemicals and automotive fluids separate
  4. Open a walking path to the main pile

What can change the estimate

A photo can explain the load, but the actual work depends on what is present and how it must leave the property.

  • Total volume and density
  • Sorting still required on site
  • Heavy equipment or awkward pieces
  • Distance from the garage to the loading area

Questions to settle before pickup

Clear answers prevent surprises at the property.

Do I need to sort everything first?

A basic sort protects belongings and makes the scope easier to review. At minimum, separate keepers, hazardous material, and the removal pile.

What about old paint and automotive fluids?

Keep them out of the removal pile. Kern County has separate household hazardous waste guidance and facilities.

Can you clear shelves and cabinets?

Empty personal items and identify what should stay. Fixed cabinetry or attached structures require a separate scope review.

Talk through the item list and access route.

Have the pickup address, item list, photos, and access notes ready when you call.
